Men with mallets

When we lived at 1749 Mississippi Ave, we had a very large front yard. One of their favorite things to do was play croquet. They were very serious about it - and would not let children - me - play with them.

They also made a miniature golf course, digging 9 holes and putting a tin can in each one. They would let me play - when they were not playing. I still have the shortened club that I used.

Every Saturday morning they played golf at Riverside Park. They would let me go with them as long as I stayed out of the way.
